Getaway? Are the Red Sox fleeing Canada? No, it’s just an early game.

BOSTON — Dustin Pedroia launched two home runs, scored four runs and claimed five RBI in leading the Red Sox to an 18-6 win over the Blue Jays Tuesday night at Fenway Park, allowing Tim Wakefield to claim his 200th career victory. The win, coupled with the Orioles’ 4-2 victory over the Rays, pushed the Sox’ Wild Card lead over Tampa Bay back up to four games. The 45-year-old Wakefield, who becomes the 108th pitcher in major league history to win 200 games, allowed five runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two while throwing 96 pitches. The knuckleballer trailed 5-4 heading into the fourth inning, but back-to-back homers by Jacoby Ellsbury and Pedroia would give the Sox the lead for good.
