BOSTON — Boston Red Sox infielders Dustin Pedroia, Jed Lowrie and Yamaico Navarro took extended fielding practice on Monday prior to the opener of their four-game series with the Kansas City Royals. Infield coach Tim Bogar hit grounders to Navarro at third base, Lowrie at short and Pedroia at second on the Fenway Park infield. Also helping out was batting practice pitcher Matt Noone fielding the balls at the second base bag. Pedroia, who won the Gold Glove at second base in his MVP year of 2008, has committed just four errors in 447 chances, good for a .991 fielding percentage
